Harley‘s Bar涅槃重生，这感觉实在太棒了！自上月起，这个历经沧桑的场地在新地点（就在原址旁边）重磅回归，开始在周末承办演出。当Round Eye的Chachy告诉我这个好消息时，我就决定全力以赴，办一场热烈欢迎这座场地的回归派对——一场汇聚了上海地下音乐场景各波段光谱的盛宴拼盘——从像Round Eye这样的老牌乐队到噪音传奇Torturing Nurse；从杨浦的火炬手下沉广场到邪典般的淤泥金属三重奏尼浊累；当然，还有棒极了的嘉宾小王乐队！她们从北京远道而来，带来了她们最真挚的音乐。门外冰冷刺骨，但大家还是来了，共同度过盛大的美好一夜。再次感谢Harley’s Bar，感谢Chachy，感谢所有乐队，当然还有所有熬夜狂欢的人们。2024年，我们Harley‘s Bar再见！

Harley’s Bar is back and boy does it feel good! Since last month, the seasoned venue has been getting back on their feet at their new spot (conveniently located next door to their old spot) with weekend showcases. When Chachy of Round Eye told me of the news, we knew we had to go all out in welcoming back the joint - a riotous offering featuring a wide spectrum of the Shanghai underground scene - acts that afraid to get down and dirty. 

From the cult-like sludge metal trio Conch, who continue luring audiences into cauldron of doomy sounds...

to Yangpu torch bearers Sunken Square, who have assembled a robust catalogue of tunes that stick with you.

Meanwhile, this might have been the first time I’ve seen an interactive Torturing Nurse set, as the noise legend had a gaggle of fans cheering and egging him on through to his noise epiphany.  

Round Eye kicked off the second half, igniting the id in audiences immediately, throwing them into a delirious mania that lasted their whole set - no other live act like these cats - the air in the room shifted. 

Closing out the night were esteemed guests Xiao Wang, making the trip up from Beijing with their fiercely sincere tunes - a swirl of kawaiicore, punk, J-rock, and pop that has serious bite. 

It might have been freezing outside, but you beautiful people came out and a grand ol’ time was held. Thanks once again to Harley’s to Chachy, to the bands, and fo course all the people who rocked out late into the night. See you back at Harley’s in 2024.
